Just so we're completely clear on where you stand.
A tradition that you approve of (like opposite-sex-two-person-only marriage) is to be cherished and protected and defended at all costs.
But a tradition that you dislike because it stands in your way politically (such as the time-honored political tradition of the Senate filibuster) - that, we can get rid of.
