Because if we go about our lives, the terrorists win.
The Patriot Act is about to become permanent. Nice knowing you, Constitutional rights. Don't be strangers. Apparently, if we have rights, the terrorists win.
Freedom of information? What's that? Want birth and death information? Sorry, no can do. If we let you research your family's genealogy, the terrorists win.
Freedom of religion? What's that? This past week, the House passed a bill that would criminalize churches which give aid to illegal immigrants. If we let religious compassion take precedence over religious hatred, the terrorists win.
Right to privacy? Not if it's your money we're talking about. Pay your credit cards off, get investigated by Homeland Security. Because if we let you get out of debt, the terrorists win.
