Rulers? Ms. Harris, what have you been smoking this week? So, in today's CNN news posts, Ms. Harris - you remember her, the one who was responsible for the theft of the 2000 election - claimed that not electing Christians to public office is "legislating sin."

Oh, and apparently separating religion from politics is wrong. Why? Because "God chooses our rulers."

Well, Ms. Harris, I hate to break it to you, but we live in a democracy. The President et. al. are not our rulers. They are our SERVANTS. They work for US. They aren't kings or princes (although Dubya appears to have forgotten that point); they're guys doing a job they were hired for for a certain term of years.

So perhaps you should revisit your beliefs, as they don't map to reality. There are no rulers in the United States of America. Never have been, never will be.  ¶ 8/28/2006 10:13:00 PM
